"Lure" Color Study

I spent some time working on the painted study for "Lure." While I'm not completely comfortable with acrylics, it was a much more pleasant experience this time. There's still a lot of "discovery" in regards to color - I don't feel like I'm totally in control of that aspect.

But, brushwork is coming a little more easily - it's more enjoyable.

I think is wonderful that you are taking the time to get comfortable with acrylics again. I remember the first time I picked up a brush after a few years of not painting, I felt stiff and insecure of my abilities. I began with a few small canvas just for fun, playing around. I've been painting again for about a year, and I feel a lot more comfortable with the medium. Even acrylics on illustration board, which at first gave me some trouble, are now easier to use.

Thanks for sharing your journey.
